Welcome Korea ("we") processes personal information in accordance with Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
1. What we collect
Diagnosis inputs: nationality, visa type, affiliation (university/employer), city, ARC status and Korean-phone status. Purchase: your email address and order details. Some of these fields (e.g. nationality) may be treated as sensitive; provide them only if you are comfortable doing so.
We do NOT collect or store your payment card details. All card and payment data is handled directly by our payment processor, Paddle.
2. Why we use it
To generate your personalized diagnosis and Bank Visit Kit, to deliver the Kit by email, to process and support your purchase, and — in aggregate/anonymized form — to improve our guidance.
3. Who we share it with (processors)
Paddle (payment processing / Merchant of Record), Supabase (database hosting), and our email provider (Kit delivery). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments; some may process it outside Korea.
4. Retention
Order records are retained as required by applicable e-commerce and tax law; diagnosis data is retained only as long as needed for the purposes above, then deleted or anonymized. You may request earlier deletion.
5. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and withdraw consent, by contacting jms@asumbear.kr.
